Firefox 10

I'm not normally much impressed with FF updates. I do them thoughtlessly but faithfully. Never seem to make a difference to my computer use. Never had any problems as others report, either, though.

BUT...FF10 (just done now) has doubled my browsing speed! I am amazed! Bit worried that the laptop will blow itself away, at this rate. But maybe won't affect others the same? Dunno.

Just thought I'd mention it...

Regards to all,
Shax

I dont really use firefox but keep it installed so I stay familar with it. FireFox 10 has impressed me with its program load speed .. & page load speed too.
Firefox seems always a very simple program to install or upgrade.
Wish it would reject those free tool bars that every program install seems to glue to it.

RE: Firefox 10

All these comments about v10.0 and it turns out Firefox v11.0 beta 1 was released today. I am still at v8.0 as v9.0 was a developer's release. Will see about v10.0.

I took the time this morning to upgrade to v10.0. It does seem a little faster, but with my varying speed 3G connection I cannot certify that as of yet. All 12 of my add-ons were compatible.

Nothing new or impressing so far with this release. Looking at the change log it seems to be mostly another developer release.

I only use FF for one forum that I visit, but v10 definitely opened that much faster than prior versions. I believe there was a security reason for this version.

Just googling FF 10 problems, seems the internet is littered with them! Hopefully a fix is on the way...makes me feel a bit better that it's not just me...
