Ipd not seeing printer

Posted by ilmbg (My Page) on

Ipad3 is not seeing my printer.
I have been frustrated with ipad/printer.
I have Canon mg3100 which is AirPrint. It has been set up and I have used it.
I have printed many times. Now, when I want to print, says 'no printer found'. I turned off/on computer....no change. Turned printer off/on...
For once in my life can't something electronic work like it is supposed to?!
With iPad's, there are no settings...... Very sad....
What should I do? It is too late to call tech support.
Thx

RE: Ipd not seeing printer

Questions for you:

1. Can you print to this printer from another computer?
2. Have any changes at all been made to your wireless network or the printer?
3. Does the application that you are attempting to print from support AirPrint? This is typically only Safari, Mail and photos unless you have an App that you have installed AirPrint updates on.

Want to know how I found that information? I'm not a goddess of knowledge, more of a seeker of answers, just as you are.
My Google search terms were "iPad AirPrint"

Try this link, the instructions are as clear as what I am telling you. This is from the Apple Support page for AirPrint. You have no reason to fear the technology :-)

Here is a link that might be useful: AirPrint Setup and Troubleshooting
