| I need a video converter to convert flv YouTube videos to wmv files that I embed in my PowerPoint files to train our interns.
In the past, I've used the free zamzar online converter. But I can't access the Zamzar upload page today. Are their free conversions a thing of the past? If so, I need a suggestion for a "safe" converter, either online or software to download.

Have you tried Format Factory?

Gizmo recommends this one.

I've checked both of the suggestions and now realize that I omitted an important detail: When I used Zamzar, I would upload a video by pasting its URL, then Zamzar would email me a URL for the download page where I would go to obtain the converted file.

Hmm, interesting. Today Zamzar upload is fine.
