These are the instructions form link I posted above for IE, Step 1: Enable add-ons Click the Internet Explorer Tools menu, or press Alt-T on your keyboard. Select Manage Add-ons. If Google Toolbar, Google Toolbar Helper, or Google Toolbar Notifier BHO is disabled, select each add-on and click Enable. Click Close. Step 2: Enable the Toolbar in the "View" menu Click the Internet Explorer View menu, or press Alt-V on your keyboard. Select Toolbars. If Google Toolbar doesn't have a checkmark beside it, select Google Toolbar. Step 3: Reset Internet Explorer settings Click the Internet Explorer Tools menu, or press Alt-T on your keyboard. Select Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, click Reset. Select the "Delete personal settings" checkbox. Click Reset. If you still don't see the Toolbar, try the steps above again to re-enable add-ons and the Toolbar.

Bob, left clicking didn't change anything. Right clicking didn't show me anything that looked like a lock or unlock option. Since it got moved by accident I don't think it's locked and I wish I could lock it so once it's fixed this won't happen again. Any other ideas? TIA Jann

I am not getting these follow-up posts emailed to me even though i checked to have emails sent - so I didn't know there was more. I hope they keep supporting version 3 - since we have 5 xp computers between home and work. I do have FF4 on dd's laptop - but not quite sure how it's going for her. She said she didn't like it - and I offered to try above suggestions to make it appear more like she's familiar with. She wants me to in theory - but in reality never wants to hand over the computer to have me do it. When I have more leisure to try again, am I recalling correctly that I can have 2 firefoxes installed - one version 3, and one version 4? And I can use xmarks to sync bookmarks, etc. That way I can get used to ff4 - but go back to 3 for the times I need things to go smoothly and not tinker? Just grab the toolbar with the cursor and drag it back down to the bottom, to keep it from moving right click on it and choose to lock the toolbar, if it is currently locked you will need to unlock it to move it back down. When it is unlocked it can be moved to any edge by drag and drop.
