Mike (re updates) Let me suggest a different explanation. Limited updating is not a sign of anything, and certainly not a sign of quality. All software is buggy, including all the good stuff. Writing enhancements and new features, bug fixes, problem corrections, is ongoing and never ending for all software developers. Most choose to issue such updates as they become ready for prime time. When enhancements and changes are substantial, you can call it a new version and sell it anew. Apple chooses, as a marketing ploy, to hold back all but essential OS updates and release them once a year as a "New version". And they usually charge for it. Do you think it's coincidental that OS X new version development wraps up all necessary work by the same time every year to allow a release in the July-Oct time frame? No, the release time is set well in advance, they put in what is ready, and defer the rest until the next "new version". If you look into it, you'll find IOS and OSX "new versions' contain plenty of bug fixes. They use different terminology, because of course, Apple software has no bugs. (!?!)

Well, it took longer than expected to get the door, so the order went in a while ago and that makes it my final choice, lol! Actually, the cabinets might be here in about 2 weeks (!!!!!) so we can inspect and reorder anything damaged/incorrect and still hit our 5/13 install date. Demo is 4/29. I'm happy with it. I feel so much better now that I've seen the color on maple in a bigger piece than the sample chip. It's not blotchy, which was a concern, so I'm very relieved! It also feels solid and stable. The inside corners of the rails and stiles meet very tight and neatly. It feels very smooth. The sides are all flush where the joints are. Aything else I should check?

Hmmm. I hadn't thought about checking design apps for ipad. Mine is in the other room but I just took a look at ipad apps on itunes (via laptop). This one (linked below) looks interesting and I might download the free version to see how it works, especially if this is as advertised: "Possible to create non-rectangular rooms" Important note: if you decide to try the free version of the app you won't be able to save your design (according to the fine print) but you might be able to take a screenshot of it (which will be saved to iphotos). Do you know how to take screenshots using your ipad (or iphone)? Chromebook is perfect for me. I use mine for looking up recipes, watching shows, surf the internet, emails, text messaging and can play apps (but not all). The first Chromebook I had didn't have any internal memory so I could do all above but download apps. The one I have now is the Acer CB5-132T. It can be used like a tablet but it also has Chrome OS so it is the best of both worlds for me. The main reasons I bought a second Chromebook and not a Laptop is because LPs take FOREVER to boot up while the CB takes seconds. CBs are much cheaper (or can be) and what I use it for I don't need a LT. CBs are also smaller which I like because mine follows me around the house, I was also the Queen of getting malware other garbage on my LT that my husband would have to delete and I haven't had that problem since getting a CB. I poked around pogo.com and could play every game I selected. If you don't need any programs beyond Microsoft Office type stuff (Google has all those) then a Chromebook may be a good fit for you.
