Thanks for the reply Mike! I thought that was a possibility too. We had a miserably hot summer down here in TX this year and it lost a few leaves in a similar manner then as well (not sure if that tells you anything). It has been a bit cooler the past couple of weeks. Got down into the lower 60s upper 50s at night. It would be that cool for a couple of nights and then warm up into the 70s. The plant is probably used to highs in the upper 80s and 90s with lows in the 70s to lower 80s. I say that because I am not sure if the plant will start to drop its leaves for the fall based on the temps that are normal for the climate it is in. However I did move the plant inside and it never gets cooler than 70 there. I read some forum posts on winterizing the plants and that made me think that the cooler temps are to blame. Haven't seen the the ants past couple of days. Maybe the bait worked, not sure though. How do I post a picture of the plant? I don't see anywhere to upload a picture to this post.

Except for keeping the people in the related businesses employed (florists, caterers, photographers etc), a big, expensive wedding is probably the dumbest use of money anyone can make. And I'm sorry, but this is all about the girls wanting to feel like the pretty pretty princess for a day. I am in my mid-40s, been thru all my friends' weddings and all that...and honestly, I have NEVER ONCE met a guy that was into this ridiculous fantasy for a day. Most of them knew they just knew they had to 'play along with it' because society has made all these little girls feel like true love MUST be accompanied by gaudy expensive dresses that will sit in a closet for the next 40 years, thousands of dollars worth of flowers, limos, and champagne and caviar. I think if young couples really had a grasp on how hard it is to save up the 20% to buy a house these days (in most parts of the country anyway), they would opt-out of being princess for a day and start their marriage of on a better financial footing. And based on all the "toddlers and tiaras" and "dance mom" type parents there are out there....I don't see it changing any time soon, probably just get crazier and crazier. Time to invest in a catering or dressmaking business I suppose...lol

You know canfan, I noticed that too. I made a hybrid version of Annie's Salsa, using the Jalapeno Salsa recipe as inspiration, and went with 1 cup of vinegar. I roasted the jalapenos before chopping as well. I came up with: Roasted Jalapeno Salsa Makes 7-8 pints 5 cups tomatoes, peeled, chopped and drained *5 cups roasted jalapeno peppers, chopped (optional seeded or unseeded) 2 cups diced onion 6 cloves minced garlic 2 tsp cumin 2 tsp pepper 1/8 cup canning salt 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro 1/3 cup sugar 1 cup cider vinegar 16 oz. tomato sauce 16 oz. tomato paste *To roast jalapenos, set oven broiler to high and place oven rack 6 inches away from broiler. Prepare peppers by slicing off tops and placing whole on a cookie sheet. Roast in broiler until skins turn brown/black, turning peppers halfway through. When finished, remove from oven and allow to cool. When cool, chop jalapenos (be sure to wear gloves!) and either remove the seeds or keep them for more spice! Mix all ingredients, bring to a boil and simmer 10-20 minutes. Ladel into prepared jars, leaving 1/2 inch headspace, and process in a BWB for 15 minutes.

What a homeowner or builder buys from an architect are design services and drawings are instruments of that service. A homeowner or builder essentially gets a license to use the design drawings to build one house and the architect retains ownership of the design. However, the construction drawings, specifications, general conditions, addenda, etc, are part of the construction contract so the parties to the contract (the homeowner and the builder) must both receive a complete set of those documents before, or at, the time the contract is signed. If you did not get a full set of those documents, simply ask the builder for them. But don't tell anybody you own the drawings; you're only asking for your copy of the contract you signed. There should be no printing charge; this is a normal builder cost that should be included in the contract sum unless it was specifically excluded by the contract. You are simply asking for something the builder apparently forgot to give you. It might help to use the correct terms: ask for the "contract documents" rather than the "blueprints". If you want digital copies you will probably have to pay the architect or the builder a fee for them.
