He was born in the summer of his 27th year
Comin' home to a place he'd never been before
He left yesterday behind him, you might say he was born again
You might say he found a key for every door
When he first came to the mountains his life was far away
On the road and hangin' by a song
But the string's already broken and he doesn't really care
It keeps changin' fast and it don't last for long
But the Colorado rocky mountain high
I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky
The shadow from the starlight is softer than a lullabye
Rocky mountain high
He climbed cathedral mountains, he saw silver clouds below
He saw everything as far as you can see
And they say that he got crazy once and he tried to touch the sun
And he lost a friend but kept his memory
Now he walks in quiet solitude the forest and the streams
Seeking grace in every step he takes
His sight has turned inside himself to try and understand
The serenity of a clear blue mountain lake
And the Colorado rocky mountain high
I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky
You can talk to God and listen to the casual reply
Rocky mountain high
Now his life is full of wonder but his heart still knows some fear
Of a simple thing he cannot comprehend
Why they try to tear the mountains down to bring in a couple more
More people, more scars upon the land
And the Colorado rocky mountain high
I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky
I know he'd be a poorer man if he never saw an eagle fly
Rocky mountain high
It's Colorado rocky mountain high
I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky
Friends around the campfire and everybody's high
Rocky mountain high

Yesterday, All my troubles seemed so far away, Now it looks as though they're here to stay, Oh, I believe in yesterday. Suddenly, I'm not half the man I used to be, There's a shadow hanging over me, Oh, yesterday came suddenly. Why she Had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say. I said, Something wrong, now I long for yesterday. Yesterday, Love was such an easy game to play, Now I need a place to hide away, Oh, I believe in yesterday. Why she Had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say. I said, Something wrong, now I long for yesterday. Yesterday, Love was such an easy game to play, Now I need a place to hide away, Oh, I believe in yesterday. The Beatles |

Today, I feel like pleasing you More than before Today, I know what I want to do But I don't know what for To be living for you Is all I want to do To be loving you It'll all be there When my dreams come true Today, you'll make me say That I somehow have changed Today, you'll look into my eyes I'm just not the same To be any more than all I am Would be a lie I'm so full of love I could burst apart And start to cry Today, everything you want I swear it will all come true Today, I realize how much I'm in love with you With you standing there I could tell the world What it means to love To go on from here I can't use words They don't say enough Please, please listen to me It's taken so long to come true It's all for you, all for you Today - Jefferson Airplane |

Today I passed you on the street And my heart fell at your feet I Can't Help It If I'm Still In Love With You Somebody else stood by your side And he looked so satisfied I Can't Help It If I'm Still In Love With You. A picture from the past came slowly stealing As I brushed your arm and walked so close to you Then suddenly I got that old time feeling I Can't Help It If I'm Still In Love With You. It's hard to know another's lips will kiss you And hold you just the way I used to do Oh, heaven only knows how much I miss you I Can't Help It If I'm Still In Love With You. Hank Williams Sr. |

Lady, Morning's just a moment away And I'm without you once again You laughed at me You said you didn't needed me I wonder if you need me now So many dreams that flew away So many words we didn't say Two people lost in a storm Where did we go? Where'd we go? We lost what we both had found You know we let each other down But then most of all I Do Love You Still! We played the games that people play We made our mistakes along the way Somehow I know deep in my heart You needed me 'Cause I needed you so desperatly! We were too blind to see But then most of all I Do Love You Still! The Commodores (Lionel Richie) |

Lady, I'm your knight in shining armor And I love you. You have made me what I am And I am yours. My love, there's so many ways I want to say I love you. Et me hold you in my arms forever more. You have gone and made me such a fool, I'm so lost in your love. And oh, we belong together. Won't you believe in my song? Lady, for so many years I thought I'd never find you. You have come into my life And made me whole. Forever let me wake to see you Each and every morning. Let me hear you whisper softly In my ear. In my eyes I see no one else but you. There's no other love like our love. And yes, oh yes, I'll always want you near me. I've waited for you so long. Lady, your love's the only love I need And beside me is where I want you to be. 'Cause, my love, there's something I want you to know, You're the love of my life, You're my lady. Kenny Rogers |

Together again My tears have stopped fallin The long lonely nights Are now at an end The key to my heart You hold in your hand And nothing else matters We're together again Together again The grey skies are gone You're back in my arms Now where you belong The love that we knew Is living again And nothing else matters, Baby We're together again Well, nothing else matters, Baby We're together again Ray Charles |

Lonely, I'm Mr. Lonely, I have nobody for my own. I'm so lonely, I'm Mr. Lonely, wish I had someone to call on the phone. I'm a soldier, a lonely soldier, Away from home through no wish of my own. That's why I'm lonely, I'm Mr. Lonely, I wish that I could go back home. Letters, never a letter, I get no letters in the mail. I've been forgotten, yeah, forgotten, Oh how I wonder how is it I failed. I'm a soldier, a lonely soldier, Away from home through no wish of my own That's why I'm lonely, I'm Mr. Lonely, I wish that I could go back home. Bobby Vinton |

So many times said it was forever Said our love would always be true Something in my heart always knew I'd be lying here beside you On my own On my own On my own So many promises never should be spoken Now, I know what loving you cost Now, we're up to talking divorce And we weren't even married On my own Once again now One more time By myself No one said it was easy, no Ooh, but it once was so easy Well, I believed... I believed... ...in love ...in love Now, here I stand I wonder why Ooh, I'm on my own Why did it end this way? (On my own) This wasn't how it was supposed to be (On my own) I wish that we could do it all again So many times, I know I could have told you Losing you, it cut like a knife Hey, you walked out and there went my life I don't want to live without you On my own This wasn't how it was supposed to be On my own I wish that we could do it all again On my own I never dreamed I'd spend one night alone By myself On my own I've got to find out where I belong again (On my own) I've got to learn to be strong again (On my own) I never dreamed I'd spend one night alone (By myself) By myself, by myself (On my own) And I've got to find out what was mine again (On my own) My heart is saying that it's time again (On my own) And I, I think that I will shine again By myself (On my own) I have faith in me Patti Labelle and Michael McDonald |

You better watch out You better not cry Better not pout I'm telling you why Santa Claus is coming to town He's making a list And checking it twice; Gonna find out Who's naughty and nice Santa Claus is coming to town He sees you when you're sleeping He knows when you're awake He knows if you've been bad or good So be good for goodness sake! O! You better watch out! You better not cry Better not pout I'm telling you why Santa Claus is coming to town Santa Claus is coming to town Bing Crosby |

Santa looked like daddy, Or daddy looked like him. It's not the way I had him pictured, Santa was a' much too thin. He didn't come down the chimney, So momma must have let him in. Santa looked a lot like daddy Or daddy looked a lot like him. Well, they thought I was fast a' sleepin', They thought that I was tucked in bed. They never thought I'd come a' peepin', Or that I'd hear what was said. Santa put his arm around momma, And momma put her arm around him. So if Santa Claus ain't daddy, Then I'm a gonna tell on them. [Chorus:] Santa looked like daddy, Or daddy looked like him. It's not the way I had him pictured, Santa was a' much too thin. He didn't come down the chimney, So momma must have let him in. Santa looked a lot like daddy Or daddy looked a lot like him. I never saw Dancer or Prancer, I never heard the sleigh bells ring. An' I never saw the Red Nosed reindeer, Like they show on the TV screen. But he sure brought a lot of presents, So Santa Claus, he must have been. And Santa looked a lot like daddy Or daddy looked a lot like him. Paul Brandt |

Jolly old Saint Nicholas, Lend your ear this way! Don't you tell a single soul What I'm going to say; Christmas Eve is coming soon; Now, (you/my) dear old man Whisper what you'll bring to me; Tell me, if you can. When the clock is striking twelve, (When/And) I'm fast asleep, Down the chimney, broad and black With your pack you'll creep; All the stockings you will find Hanging in a row; Mine will be the shortest one You'll be sure to know. Bobby wants a pair of skates; Suzy wants a sled; Nellie wants a picture book, Yellow, blue and red. Now I think I'll leave to you What to give the rest, Choose for me, dear Santa Claus; You will know the best. (Bobby wants a pair of skates; Suzy wants a sled; Nellie wants a story book, One she hasn't read. Now I think I'll leave to you What to give the rest; Choose for me, O Santa Claus What you think is best.) (Johnny wants a pair of skates, Suzy wants a dolly; Nelly wants a story book, She thinks dolls are folly; As for me my little brain Isn't very bright; Choose for me old Santa Claus What you think is right.) All kids back in the old days!! |

Have a holly, jolly Christmas; It's the best time of the year I don't know if there'll be snow, but have a cup of cheer. Have a holly, jolly Christmas; And when you walk down the street Say Hello to friends you know and everyone you meet. Oh, ho, the mistletoe hung where you can see; Somebody waits for you; Kiss her once for me. Have a holly jolly Christmas, and in case you didn't hear, Oh by golly, have a holly, jolly Christmas this year. |

Christmas time is near, Time of joy and cheer; Time to hang the stockings up, Time for Santa dear, Time to trim the tree, Time our gifts to see; Time to sing our happy songs With jolly Christmas glee! Oh! Christmas time! Christmas time! That's the time for play! So much fun for everyone, From early morn all day! Christmas time! Christmas time! Now we shout "Hooray!" Oh, how glad we are to have This jolly Christmas Day! We have all been good, As we really should, (Anyway, we tried to be As good as we all could!) For old Santa Claus Checks us one and all, And if we forget ourselves He may forget to call! Oh! Christmas time! Christmas time! That's the time for play! So much fun for everyone, From early morn all day! Christmas time! Christmas time! Now we shout "Hooray!" Oh, how glad we are to have This jolly Christmas Day! |

I want a hippopotamus for Christmas Only a hippopotamus will do Don't want a doll, no dinky Tinker Toy I want a hippopotamus to play with and enjoy I want a hippopotamus for Christmas I don't think Santa Claus will mind, do you? He won't have to use our dirty chimney flue Just bring him through the front door, that's the easy thing to do I can see me now on Christmas morning, creeping down the stairs Oh what joy and what surprise when I open up my eyes to see a hippo hero standing there I want a hippopotamus for Christmas Only a hippopotamus will do No crocodiles, no rhinoceroses I only like hippopotamuses And hippopotamuses like me too Mom says the hippo would eat me up, but then Teacher says a hippo is a vegeterian There's lots of room for him in our two-car garage I'd feed him there and wash him there and give him his massage I can see me now on Christmas morning, creeping down the stairs Oh what joy and what surprise when I open up my eyes to see a hippo hero standing there I want a hippopotamus for Christmas Only a hippopotamus will do No crocodiles or rhinoceroseses I only like hippopotamuseses And hippopotamuses like me too |

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree, How steadfast are your branches! Your boughs are green in summer's clime And through the snows of wintertime. O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree, How steadfast are your branches! O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree, What happiness befalls me When oft at joyous Christmas-time Your form inspires my song and rhyme. What Child is this who, laid to rest On Mary’s lap is sleeping? Whom angels greet with anthems sweet, While shepherds watch are keeping? This, this is Christ the King, Whom shepherds guard and angels sing; Haste, haste, to bring Him laud, The Babe, the Son of Mary. |

While shepherds watched their flocks by night, all seated on the ground; the angel of the Lord came down, and glory shone around, and glory shone around. "Fear not!" said he, for mighty dread had seized their troubled mind. "Glad tidings of great joy I bring to all of humankind, to all of humankind." "To you, in David's town, this day is born of David's line a Savior, who is Christ the Lord, and this shall be the sign, and this shall be the sign:" "The heavenly babe you there shall find to human view displayed, all meanly wrapped in swathing bands, and in a manger laid, and in a manger laid." Thus spake the seraph and forthwith appeared a shining throng of angels praising God on high, who thus addressed their song, who thus addressed their song: "All glory be to God on high, and to the earth be peace; good will henceforth from heaven to earth begin and never cease, begin and never cease!" |

Ring Christmas bells, merrily ring, Tell all the world Jesus is King. Loudly procalim with one accord The happy tale, Welcome the Lord. Ring Christmas bells, sound far and near The birthday of Jesus is here. Herald the news to young and old, Tell it to all in every tongue. Ring Christmas bells, tell loud and long Your message sweet, peal and prolong, Come all ye people, join in the singing, Repeat the story told by the ringing. Ring Christmas bells, througout the earth Tell the glad news of Jesus' birth, Loudly proclaim with one accord The happy tale, Welcome the Lord. |

The old home town looks the same as I step down from the train, and there to meet me is my Mama and Papa. Down the road I look and there runs Mary hair of gold and lips like cherries. It's good to touch the green, green grass of home. Yes, they'll all come to meet me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly. It's good to touch the green, green grass of home. The old house is still standing tho' the paint is cracked and dry, and there's that old oak tree I used to play on. Down the lane I walk with my sweet Mary, hair of gold and lips like cherries. It's good to touch the green, green grass of home. Yes, they'll all come to meet me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly. It's good to touch the green, green grass of home. Then I awake and look around me, at four grey wall surround me and I realize that I was only dreaming. For there's a guard and there's a sad old padre - arm in arm we'll walk at daybreak. Again I touch the green, green grass of home. Yes, they'll all come to see me in the shade of that old oak tree as they lay me neath the green, green grass of home. Tom Jones |

Mama, thank you for who I am Thank you for all the things I'm not Forgive me for the words unsaid For the times I forgot Mama remember all my life You showed me love, you sacrificed Think of those young and early days How I've changed along the way [along the way] And I know you believed And I know you had dreams And I'm sorry it took all this time to see That I am where I am because of your truth And I miss you, yeah I miss you Mama forgive the times you cried Forgive me for not making right All of the storms I may have caused And I've been wrong, Dry your eyes [dry your eyes] Cause I know you believed And I know you had dreams And I'm sorry it took all this time to see That I am where I am because of your truth And I miss you, yeah I miss you Mama I hope this makes you smile I hope you're happy with my life At peace with every choice I made How I've changed along the way [along the way] Cause I know you believed in all of my dreams And I owe it all to you, Mama IL DIVO |

If a picture paints a thousand words, Then why can't I paint you? The words will never show the you I've come to know. If a face could launch a thousand ships, Then where am I to go? There's no one home but you, You're all that's left me too. And when my love for life is running dry, You come and pour yourself on me. If a man could be two places at one time, I'd be with you. Tomorrow and today, beside you all the way. If the world should stop revolving spinning slowly down to die, I'd spend the end with you. And when the world was through, Then one by one the stars would all go out, Then you and I would simply fly away Bread |

I'm discontented with homes that I've rented So I have invented my own. Darling, this place is lovely oasis Where life's weary taste is unknown Far from the crowded city Where flowers pretty caress the stream Cozy to hide in, to live side by side in, Don't let it apart in my dream- Picture you upon my knee Just tea for two And two for tea Just me for you And you for me alone Nobody near us to see us or hear us Mm, mm, mm, No friends or relations Mm, mm, mm, On weekend vacations Mm, mm, mm. We won't have it known, dear, That we own a telephone, dear... Don't look so sad, it's not so bad you know. It's just another night, that's all it is, It's not the first, it's not the worst you know, We've come through all the rest, we'll get through this. We've made mistakes, but we've made good friends too. Remember all the nights we spent with them? And all our plans, who says they can't come true? Tonight's another chance to start again. It's just another New Year's Eve, Another night like all the rest. It's just another New Year's Eve, Let's make it the best. It's just another New Year's Eve, It's just another Auld Lang Syne, But when we're through this New Year You'll see, We'LL be just fine. We're not alone, we've got the world you know. And it won't let us down, just wait and see. And we'll grow old, but think how wise we'll grow. There's more you know, it's only New Year's Eve. Barry Manilow |

Don't look so sad I know it's over But life goes on And this old world Will keep on turning Let's just be glad We had some time to spend together There's no need to watch the bridges That we're burning Lay your head, Upon my pillow Hold your warm and tender body Close to mine Hear the whisper of the raindrops Blowing soft, against the window And make believe you love me, One more time, For the good times I'll get along You'll find another And I'll be here If you should find, You ever need me Don't say a word About tomorrow, or forever There'll be time enough for sadness When you leave me Lay your head Upon my pillow Hold your warm and tender body Close to mine Hear the whisper of the raindrops Blowing soft against the window And make believe you love me One more time For the good times Ray Price |

Now that i've lost everything to you You say you wanna start something new And it's breakin' my heart you're leavin' Baby, i'm grievin' But if you wanna leave, take good care Hope you have a lot of nice things to wear But then a lot of nice things turn bad out there Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world It's hard to get by just upon a smile Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world I'll always remember you like a child, girl You know i've seen a lot of what the world can do And it's breakin' my heart in two Because i never wanna see you a sad, girl Don't be a bad girl But if you wanna leave, take good care Hope you make a lot of nice friends out there But just remember there's a lot of bad and beware Chorus Baby, i love you But if you wanna leave, take good care Hope you make a lot of nice friends out there But just remember there's a lot of bad and beware Cat Stevens - Wild World |

Winter's almost gone, Oh how I've waited so long For summer nights. When there's magic in the air And I don't have a care, All that matters to me Is that you are here On summer nights. There's a little café Where we can hear music play. They keep the lights turned down low It's a place where lovers go. There you'll hold me tight and say Our love will always be this way On summer nights. At the end of the day We can go down to the bay And together hand in hand We will walk along the sand On summer nights. In our little café We'll dance the night away And we know our love will be Always true eternally. And when the moon begins to shine I can see that you are mine On summer nights. On summer nights. On summer nights Marianne Faithfull - Summer Nights |

Out in the shiny night, the rain Was softly falling The tracks that ran down the boulevard had All been washed away Out of the silver light, the past came softly calling And I remember the times we spent Inside the sad cafe Oh, it seemed like a holy place Protected by amazing grace And we would sing right out loud, the Things we could not say We thought we could change this world With words like "love" and "freedom" We were part of the lonely crowd Inside the sad cafe Oh, expecting to fly We would meet on that beautiful shore in the Sweet by and by Some of their dreams came true Some just passed away And some of the stayed behind *** Inside the sad cafe The clouds rolled in and hid that shore Now that glory train, it don't stop here no more Now I look at the years gone by And wonder at the powers that be I don't know why fortune smiles on some And let's the rest go free Maybe the time has drawn the faces I recall But things in this life change very slowly If they ever change at all There's no use in asking why It just turned out that way So meet me at midnight baby Inside the sad cafe Why don't you meet me at midnight baby Inside the sad cafe The Eagles |

Softly, I will leave you softly For my heart would break if you should wake and see me go So I leave you softly, long before you miss me Long before your arms can beg me stay For one more hour or one more day After all the years, I can't bear the tears to fall So, softly as I leave you there (Softly, long before you kiss me) (Long before your arms can beg me stay) (For one more hour) or one more day After all the years, I can't bear the tears to fall So, softly as I leave you there As I leave I you there As I leave I you there Elvis Happy Birthday Elvis!!! |

Here in my arms it's adorable! It's deplorable That you were never there. When little lips are so kissable It's permissible For me to ask my share. Next to my heart it is ever so lonely. I’ll be as strong as a mountain, Or weak as a willow tree, Anyway you want me, Well that’s how I will be. I’ll be as tame as a baby, Or wild as the raging sea, Anyway you want me, Well that’s how I will be. In your hands my heart is clay, To take and hold as you may. I’m what you make me, you’ve only to take me, And in your arms I will stay. I’ll be a fool or a wise man, My darling you hold the key, Yes, anyway you want me, Well that’s how I will be, I will be. You can tell the world you never was my girl, you can burn my clothes up when I am gone. You can tell your friends just what a fool I've been, and laugh and joke about me on the phone You can tell my arms : Go back into the farm! You can tell my feet to hit the floor. You can tell my lips to tell my fingertips, they won't be reaching out for you no more. But don't tell my heart, my achy breaky heart, I just don't think he'll understand. But if you tell my heart, my achy breaky heart, he might blow up and kill this man. You can tell your Ma, I moved to Arkansas, you can tell your dog to bite my leg. Or tell your brother Cliff, whose fist can tell my lips, he never really liked me anyway. Or tell your Aunt Louise, tell anything you please, myself already knows I'm not O.K. Or you can tell my eyes to watch out for my mind, it might be walkin' out on me one day. BILLY RAY CYRUS |

Please help me, I’m falling In love with you. Close the door to temptation, Don’t let me walk through. Turn away from me, darling -- I’m begging you to. Please help me, I’m falling In love with you. I belong to another Whose arms have grown cold, But I promised forever To have and to hold. I can never be free, dear, But when I’m with you I know that I’m losing The will to be true. Please help me, I’m falling And that would be sin. Close the door to temptation, Don’t let me walk in. For I mustn’t want you, But, darling, I do -- Please help me, I’m falling In love with you. It must have been cold there in my shadow, to never have sunlight on your face. You were content to let me shine, that's your way, you always walked a step behind. So I was the one with all the glory, while you were the one with all the strength. A beautiful face without a name -- for so long, a beautiful smile to hide the pain. Did you ever know that you're my hero, and ev'rything I would like to be? I can fly higher than an eagle, 'cause you are the wind beneath my wings. It might have appeared to go unnoticed, but I've got it all here in my heart. I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it, I would be nothing with out you. Did you ever know that you're my hero, and ev'rything I would like to be? I can fly higher than an eagle, 'cause you are the wind beneath my wings. Fly, fly, fly away, you let me fly so high. Oh, fly, fly, so high against the sky, so high I almost touch the sky. Thank you, thank you, thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings. Bette Midler |

There's a kind of hush all over the world tonight. All over the world you can hear the sounds of lovers in love. You know what I mean. Just the two of us and nobody else in sight. There's nobody else and I'm feeling good just holding you tight. So listen very carefully. Closer now and you will see what I mean. It isn't a dream. It's an old-fashioned feeling In a world that's gone wild It's a walk by the river On a slow summer night It's the rhythm of love Everywhere I go It's the sound of her voice here in my soul Every little whisper, every little sigh Every time I hold her I think I'm gonna die Every time her heart beats I know that I'm alive With every little whisper, every little sigh There's this thing that she does and she don't even know I don't say a word, man I just let her go There's a smile that she saves when she lets her hair down Deep in the night there is only one sound. Strangers in the night exchanging glances Wondring in the night What were the chances wed be sharing love Before the night was through. Something in your eyes was so inviting, Something in you smile was so exciting, Something in my heart, Told me I must have you. Strangers in the night, two lonely people We were strangers in the night Up to the moment When we said our first hello. Little did we know Love was just a glance away, A warm embracing dance away and - Ever since that night weve been together. Lovers at first sight, in love forever. As long as he needs me... Oh, yes, he does need me... In spite of what you see... ...I'm sure that he needs me. Who else would love him still When they've been used so ill? He knows I always will... As long as he needs me. I miss him so much when he is gone, But when he's near me I don't let on... ...The way I feel inside. The love, I have to hide... The hell! I've gone my pride As long as he needs me. He doesn't say the things he should. He acts the way he thinks he should. But all the same, I'll play This game His way. As long as he needs me... I know where I must be. I'll cling on steadfastly... As long as he needs me. As long as life is long... I'll love him right or wrong, And somehow, I'll be strong... As long as he needs me. If you are lonely Then you will know... When someone needs you, You love them so. I won't betray his trust... Though people say I must. I've got to stay true, just As long as he needs me. Three little words, oh what Id give for that wonderful phrase, To hear those three little words, thats all Id live for the rest of my days. And what I feel in my heart, they tell sincerely. No other words can tell it half so clearly. Three little words, eight little letters which simply mean I love you. Frank Sinatra |

It's three o'clock in the morning, We've danced the whole night thru, And daylight soon will be dawning, Just one more waltz with you, That melody so entrancing, Seems to be made for us two, I could just keep right on dancing forever dear with you. Ding Dong Ding Dong There goes the three o'clock chime, chiming rhyming My heart keeps beating in time, Ding Dong Ding Dong Sounds like an old sweet love tune, Say that there soon will be a honeymoon. I remember when I was a very little girl, our house caught on fire. I'll never forget the look on my father's face as he gathered me up in his arms and raced through the burning building out to the pavement. I stood there shivering in my pajamas and watched the whole world go up in flames. And when it was all over I said to myself, "Is that all there is to a fire" SUNG: Is that all there is, is that all there is If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing Let's break out the booze and have a ball If that's all there is SPOKEN: And when I was 12 years old, my father took me to a circus, the greatest show on earth. There were clowns and elephants and dancing bears. And a beautiful lady in pink tights flew high above our heads. And so I sat there watching the marvelous spectacle. I had the feeling that something was missing. I don't know what, but when it was over, I said to myself, "is that all there is to a circus? SUNG: Is that all there is, is that all there is If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing Let's break out the booze and have a ball If that's all there is SPOKEN: Then I fell in love, head over heels in love, with the most wonderful boy in the world. We would take long walks by the river or just sit for hours gazing into each other's eyes. We were so very much in love. Then one day he went away and I thought I'd die, but I didn't, and when I didn't I said to myself, "is that all there is to love?" SUNG: Is that all there is, is that all there is If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing SPOKEN: I know what you must be saying to yourselves, if that's the way she feels about it why doesn't she just end it all? Oh, no, not me. I'm in no hurry for that final disappointment, for I know just as well as I'm standing here talking to you, when that final moment comes and I'm breathing my lst breath, I'll be saying to myself SUNG: Is that all there is, is that all there is If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing Let's break out the booze and have a ball If that's all there is Peggy Lee |

I wouldn't want to be a chimney sweep All black from head to foot From climbing in them chimneys And cleaning out that soot. With a broom and ladder and pail The darkened walls I scale - And far..and high...I see a patch of sky. I'd rather be the gypsy (I'd rather be the gypsy) Whose camped at the edge of town - (Camped at the edge of town) The one who has the dancing bear That follows him around. And he lifts his big foot up; He puts his big foot down And bows...and twirls... And dances 'round and 'round. I found I was a cabin boy last night as I did dream - Bound upon a magic ship for a land I'd never seen. And the moon she filled our sails; And the stars they steered our course; And on our bow there was a golden horse. The queen eats fruit and candy; the bishop nuts and cheese And when I am a grown man, I'll taste just what I please - The honey from the bee, the shellfish from the sea, The earth, the wind, a girl, someone to share these things with me. I wouldn't want to be a chimney sweep, etc... (I'd rather be the gypsy, etc...) (I dreamed I was a cabin boy, etc...) Mamas and the Papas |

East is east and west is west And the wrong one I have chose Let's go where I'll keep on wearin' Those frills and flowers and buttons and bows Rings and things and buttons and bows Don't bury me in this prairie Take me where the cement grows Let's move down to some big town Where they love a gal by the cut o' her clothes And I'll stand out In buttons and bows I'll love you in buckskin Or skirts that I've homespun But I'll love ya' longer, stronger where Yer friends don't tote a gun My bones denounce the buckboard bounce And the cactus hurts my toes Let's vamoose where gals keep usin' Those silks and satins and linen that shows And I'm all yours in buttons and bows Gimme eastern trimmin' where women are women In high silk hose and peek-a-boo clothes And French perfume that rocks the room And I'm all yours in buttons and bows Dinah Shore |

ain't even gonna to ask you I can read you like a book Girl if I ever saw one that's an I can't believe I did that look You look like something that the cat drug in So I won't kick you while you're down Just let me tell you friend to friend 'Bout a block I've been around Did you really think last night would last forever Did you really think that guy hung the moon Right now you hate yourself 'cause you knew better But there's no use crying over spilled perfume There's a big difference between lonely And lonely for way too long And I knew when he made his move You weren't feeling all that strong So I bit my tongue 'cause I saw it coming As you danced so close to him It's two steps forward and three steps back When a heart is on the mend Did you really think last night would last forever Did you really think that guy hung the moon Right now you hate yourself 'cause you knew better But there's no use crying over spilled perfume You fell in a moment of weakness Well you just got to pull yourself back up Dry your morning-after tears 'Cause what's done is done Did you really think last night would last forever Did you really think that guy hung the moon Right now you hate yourself 'cause you knew better But there's no use crying over spilled perfume No use crying over, no use crying over No use crying over, spilled perfume Pam Tillis |

I was all right for a while I could smile for a while but I saw you last night You held my hand so tight as you stopped to say hello oh You wished me well, You couldn't tell that I've been crying over you, Crying over you and you said "So long" Left me standing all alone, Alone and crying, crying, crying, crying It's hard to understand that the touch of your hand can start me crying I thought that I was over you But it's true, so true I love you even more than I did before But darling, what can I do? For you don't love me and I'll always be Crying over you, crying over you yes now you're gone and from this moment on, I'll be crying, crying, crying, crying Yeah, crying, crying over you Crying Roy Orbison |

Oh my life is changing everyday Every possible way Though my dreams, it’s never quite as it seems Never quite as it seems I know I felt like this before But now I’m feeling it even more Because it came from you Then I open up and see The person fumbling here is me A different way to be I want more, impossible to ignore Impossible to ignore They’ll come true, impossible not to do Impossible not to do Now I tell you openly You have my heart so don’t hurt me For what I couldn’t find Talk to me amazing mind So understanding and so kind You’re everything to me Oh my life is changing everyday Every possible way Though my dreams, it’s never quite as it seems ’cause you’re a dream to me Dream to me The Cranberries |

If they had ever told me how sweet a kiss could be I would have said "Impossible, impossible for me" And if they said I'd find you beyond the rainbow's end I would have said "Impossible, impossible, my friend" To dream about what might have been Is strange enough for me But now it seems I'm living in A dream too beautiful to be If they had said a moonbeam could calm a stormy sea I would have said "Impossible" but now at last I see That nothing is impossible if you are here with me I would have said "Impossible" but now at last I see That nothing is impossible if you are here with me Nat King Cole |

(Still) though you broke my heart (Still) though we're far apart (I love you still) (Still) after all this time (Still) you're still on my mind (I love you still) SPOKEN: I've lost count of the hours and I've lost track of the days. In fact, I've lost just about everything since you went away. Everything, that is, except the mem'ries you left me. And that's one thing that no one can mar. I don't know who you're with; I don't even know where you've gone. My only hope is that some day you might hear this song and you'll know that I wrote it especially for you. And I love you, wherever you are. (Still) after all this time (Still) you're still on my mind (I love you still) SPOKEN: This flame in my heart is like an eternal fire, for every day it burns hotter and every day it burns higher. And I haven't been able to put out one little flicker, not even with all of these tears. My friends think I'm crazy and maybe I am. But I'll carry this torch just as long as I can, for some day, you might just decide to come home and I want you to know I'm still here. One day we walked along the sand One day in early spring You held a piper in your hand To mend its broken wing Now I'll remember many a day And many a lonely mile The echo of a piper's song The shadow of a smile The shadow of your smile When you are gone Will color all my dreams And light the dawn Look into my eyes My love and see All the lovely things You are to me Our wistful little star Was far too high A teardrop kissed your lips And so did I Now when I remember spring All the joy that love can bring I will be remembering The shadow of your smile Tony Bennett |

Things he wouldn't tell nobody else Secrets, baby, I keep them to myself Sweet nothings, um, um sweet nothings. We walk along hand in hand Um, um, sweet nothings Yeah, we both understand Um, um, sweet nothings Sittin' in class or trying to read my book My baby, give me that special look Sweet nothings, um, um, sweet nothings. A sittin' on my front porch Um, um, sweet nothings Well, do I love you? I used to walk with you Along the avenue Our hearts were carefree and gay How could I know I'd lose you Somewhere along the way? The friends we used to know Would always smile "Hello" No love like our love they'd say Then love slipped through our fingers Somewhere along the way I should forget But with the loneliness of night I start remembering ev'rything You're gone and yet There's still a feeling deep inside That you will always be part of me So now I look for you Along the avenue And as I wander I pray That some day soon I'll find you Somewhere along the way I should forget But with the loneliness of night I start remembering ev'rything You're gone and yet There's still a feeling deep inside That you will always be part of me So now I look for you Along the avenue And as I wander I pray That some day soon I'll find you Somewhere along the way Somewhere along the way Nat King Cole |

We strolled the lane together, Laughed at the rain together, Sang loves refrain together, And we both pretend It will never end. One day we cried together, Cast love aside together, Youre gone from me, But in my menory, We always will be together. We strolled the lane together, Laughed at the rain together, Sang loves refrain together, We knew long ago That our love would grow. Through storm and sun together, Our hearts are one together, Youre gone from me, But in my menory, We always will be together. Helen Forrest and Dick Haymes |
