Netflix has announced an agreement Netflix and the National Association for the Deaf (NAD): "100 percent must be captioned by 2014." [Email from NAD says 2013, but who's counting.]

Just curious, why is the show titled that? Is the protagonist a fleabag? Is that her nickname? It's rather off putting; can't really think what is possibly appealing about being or being called a fleabag. Yes, that's pretty much it. Her character is never given a name in the show, and never referred to as "Fleabag" or "a fleabag", but you are definitely left with the impression that she's someone who perhaps views herself or is viewed by others as an undesirable element. The show is actually brilliantly named; there's something very touching about the way the name of the series portrays the title character in all of her brutally honest humanity.
