help posting a project

Hi there, I have been reading the posts here for several years and have been able to do so many great projects because of all the great creative minds. I do a lot of projects using Picture It Publishing and would love to post pictures but I can't figure out how to post them so that you can view them without the PIP program. The files save as PNG files. Is there a way to save them as a different type of file? I have made all my cards for several years and don't even remember the last time I actually purchased a card and a lot of it is because of the great people here. Thanks to all of you for your input and thanks for any help with the files.
Linda

Is there anyway for you to save them as a Jpeg? do you have any options? Maybe as a bitmap and then convert that to a jpeg.

I just looked at my Picture it program (which I never use) Mine has the option to save it different ways including jpeg.
this would enable you to post in the gallery.

Minnie, thanks for your help. You were right. I just needed to 'save as' and I saved each side as an individual jpg file. Easy as pie! Thanks again.

I use Picture It 2000 and love it!!! It will default to saving in the Picture It format, but you have the option to save in many different formats.

Glad I could help. I don't know the mechanics of posting a photo to the forum here. I know how to post to a gallery over at the crafts and Decorations forum. I think if you start a new thread about how do I post a photo here someone will post how to do it

Well, Minnie, you read my mind. I spent most of yesterday trying to post a project and have the picture show up in the forum post but I just kept getting a box with an x. I am not going to give up! LOL
Thanks again for all your help.

Glen, your picture must be online first. Then you link to it in the post and it will appear.
To link to it you must use this code with your web address of the picture where it says "address".
<IMG SRC="address">

an example...........

Here's an example, Glen.
To make this picture appear

I had to type in the message box the following:
<IMG SRC="http://www.gvec.net/3rice/crazy.gif">

Hi Mary Ann,
It is so nice to have so much help on this forum!
Glen is my DH, I am the Linda in the User Name. LOL
I tried using the address just like you did. I have my pics stored at GeoCities. Maybe they were down or having problems yesterday. I will try again. Thanks so much.

Linda if you still can't get it right I can tell you how to post a photo to the Paper Arts Forum Gallery from the jpeg in your computer. It has to be 61K or less I think so first of all you'd have to resize it to that.
then you could post a link to the gallery on this forum since we don't have a gallery here I think it would be ok since it is "paper" haha
