I have my photos stored on Picasa web album, and here's how I upload my photos from Picasa to GW. 1 - I check that my albums are shared with "Limited, anyone with the link", if they're not Public; 2 - I open the photo that I want to upload; 3 - I look on the right side of the photo to locate "Link to this photo" and click on that; 4 - I high-light the codes in the box under "Embed image", then copy the codes; 5 - I return to my post on GW and paste the copied codes. as Owbist said system restore is a very simple easy to do thing and is not to be scared of, nothing like reformatting at all it just takes your pc back to the date you choose and it is totally reversible if you see that it did not help just tell it to reverse it. YOU must enforce these rules with her now or simply refuse to allow her access to YOUR pc. If she can not treat it properly she should not be using it. NOT removing a usb item using that properly remove icon can damage your pc badly and it can RUIN her dear precious ipod. So if she likes that ipod she had better learn now or she will be holding a doorstop one day instead of her ipod. AND I would with out a doubt set her up a limited user account and allow her to ONLY use that account on the pc, set up all your admin accounts with passwords that she would not know so she could not gain access to them. Did you try using other usb ports and a different cable? Check the user agreement. Forums usually have blather saying that for purposes of promotion and other in house stuff, they assert copyright to anything you post. That is, when you post to GardenWeb, GardenWeb can use your material for GardenWeb. They might also be able to take action against outside sites, etc., that lift whole discussions, and use the agreement not to have to have every contributor sign off on it. You yourself retain copyright for other purposes, such as if you want to send your picture/recipe/cat stories to a magazine or publish them in a book. I haven't looked in awhile, so I can't say for sure what it is here, but I think it's probably like that. If you poke around you should be able to find all the policies.
