Personalized Coffee Mugs

Does anyone know how to make personalized coffee mugs with pictures and sayings on them? For example: I would like to make a couple with my children's pictures on them to give as presents for Christmas. I would also like to make a few to sell at various craft fairs. I have been searching the Internet, but do not see anything. Many Thanks!

DH has used glass beer mugs for his coffee for years. He likes the large handles and the large capacity, and we hand test them before buying for good balance. We have had no issues with the glass and hot liquids. They do double duty as cold drink mugs as needed. I mostly use local hand thrown mugs, but with a similar capacity and similar handle shape.

With regard to the Mug Mix ... how about - half of an egg? With regard to the "*diet*" pop ... ... has anyone heard what they really put into that stuff? I've heard that if we knew, we wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. Actually - I prefer simple water. With an ice cube, on occasion (especially since I don't have air conditioning - but can turn on the furnace fan, with the back panel removed, to shoot cool basement air up into the house, when the heat gets heavy). Enjoy your food - and your drink - and your good health (while it lasts). You've heard the reply that the person with a disability made to the able-bodied person who said that s/he wasn't disabled? The person with the limitation's reply was, " ... Not yet". Which reply should be of (increasing?) interest to us old coots. Who aren't (or claim not to be) disabled ... unless it may be of the mental variety. ole joyful P.S. Question: How does on have one's Mug Cake ... and eat it too? I do but only because I'm zapping my mug of water for my instant coffee. Once when our microwave wasn't working I had to boil the water for the coffee and didn't heat my mug first - what a difference it made. So then I did heat up the mug.

luckyLaLa, I think I answered your question on another forum,but here are some instructions for making a personalized mug, water slip decal mugs.
I bought my water slip decal paper on Ebay and followed instructions similar to the ones at this site. I used a clear acrylic spray on the decal after printing and then again on the mug after applying the decal. It's very important to let the decal dry thoroughly on the mug before spraying.

Try Walmart? You can upload a picture to their website and they'll make one for you. Just check their gifts link in their photo finishing part.

I just ordered a couple as Christmas gifts from Sony Imagestation website. They're on sale at 30% off - a white mug is $9.09 and a black mug is $10.49. You can upload photos and select a layout that has anywhere from one to ten different photos. And you can also add personalized text. I figure $10 is a great deal on a personalized gift.

I have to add one more comment, knowing this is an old question.

I decided that this would make a great Chrismtas gift. So I uploaded a picture of the two kids we are raising and had Walmart put the picture on a simple white mug. They gave it to their grandmother for Christmas. She said it was the best gift she's ever been given. It turned out perfectly, and I felt the price was right too.
