For me, everything I put in my house has to have some meaning for me, and I hope this has meaning for you, but for me it does not strike a chord. A beautiful painting, something that is art and not just some print that they offer in five different sizes, would give color and movement to this area, with something at each side of the console to hide the cord. A wider piece of furniture would have looked nicer there and hidden the cords, but I'm sure some solution could be devised to hide them.

Our friend's were out of town. While away their 1 dog Mollie, turned 13 on Friday the 13th. They have 2 other dogs. so my husband & I had a birthday party for her. So we got party hats & plain cheeseburgers for the occasion. Of course we thought they would all cooperate for pictures. Wrong answer! No one would wear their party hat & we could not get all 4 of them(our dog was there)together for a picture. We tried and then just gave up. Feed them the burgers & off we went for a long walk. But we had fun & I think Mollie enjoyed it. Well she enjoyed the cheeseburger.

So part of the appeal of RH style for me is they incorporate rustic, organic, industrial, or antique elements into a space that is mostly monochromatic but full of textures. Some characteristics of their style are oversized pieces, as large as the space allows. Large artwork over the sofa, often in black or white or an abstract. The largest rug the living room can hold. Statement light fixtures in every room. Natural fibers and neutral tones. Decorative elements that are large but fewer of them on display, often incorporating wood or metal. What about something like this for a coffee table?
