Most isp will allow the mail to come in from another isp, but not all will allow it to send email out. She can, however, get her mail from mail2web.com and also reply there too, if she wishes, and it will work out fine. When I am on vacation, I use mail2web from friends and relatives computers, and take care of all my mail from there, for both my isp's. :-)Cat

Some avoid IE on the notion that malware is most often aimed at Windows and it's suite of applications. There's good reason they target those. The close interaction among Microsoft products give them multiple ways to get in. But of course, many people use them and never have a malware problem, because they (1) don't indiscriminately download or open every piece of junk someone forwards to them, (2) they don't open everything a web site invites them to open, (3) they keep a good antivirus/malware program up to date, and (4) they religiously install all MS security patches and service packs. Some take some pleasure in not using EI as sort of a defiant act against MS. There's some perverse bragging also going on. They don't use the browser of the ignorant masses, they use , preferably something the listener hasn't heard of. Kind of like sneering at AOL users. Email clients are mostly just personal preferences, and it's often just whatever they happened to start with. Some are a bit better for one or another persons particular email habits. Note that, since you're using XP, if it was bought many years ago and you're using IE version 6, it is no longer secure, and you should long ago have upgraded. You should also be sure you're now running XP Service Pack 3. Ginny, I don't use Outlook Express, but highlighting the string and using "Control - C" is the old fashioned keystroke way of clicking Edit>Copy with your mouse. Often works in situations where the mouse won't. You won't actually see anything happen, but if you open a blank word processing page, set the cursor at the beginning and then hit "Control V", it will paste what you copied. Don't want to insult you if you already know all that! But when you said "nothing happens," it made me wonder because using Control - C doesn't look like anything has happened until you paste it somewhere with Control - V. Hope you get those emails back! I'd be in a panic too.

Well need to know which of these situations you are meaning: usually if you see it in a message you are receiving and it is at the bottom that was from who ever sent it to you, they have AVG and it has checked the email for safety prior to sending it. So no I don' know of any way to strip that from an arriving email. If you are wanting to know if you can prevent it from being stamped on your own outgoing email if you have AVG set to check your web mail then that may be possible have you checked in the AVG web mail settings? I no longer use AVG so I can not check. maybe someone who has it will. I think it is there for reassurance it shows the product has done it's job.
