error in cardmaking-help?

I created the card in Printmaster 10. On print preview all appeared to be correct. When printed the images were of different sizes and overlapped. I have W98, Lexmark x83 printer. This is my first attempt at combining images. I copied the design in the corners and then resized to fit. Any advice? A photo is in the craft forum gallery. Thank you, Rhonda

Hmmmm...Rhonda....it's strange that the Print Preview looked ok, but printed wrong? It looks like you did the (pink check) border, then super-imposed the corners (yellow squares)over it, right?
First, try "layering" the images to see if that helps. In my program (at the top) it says Arrange...then Layer. Send the pink border "TO the Back" See if that helps.
Another thing that you may try....is after you've got the yellow corners, where you want, over the pink border...try to "Group" them to become one image. This is also done under "Arrange".
Where to find this Layering and Grouping may be a little different in your program, but I'm pretty sure they're there.

Thanks Tiger! I will definitely give it a go today and let you know if it works. Yes, I selected the border Then applied one corner. I duplicated that corner to each of the other three corners. All corners appeared to be inside the pink border on print preview. I will work with the layering and grouping to see what it does!!!

ClientCore.exe seems to be part of HP SimplePass (a fingerprint reader). Does that sound right? If so does it work? Do you use it? Did you remove Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable while in Programs? Those two DLL files seem to be provided by it so reinstalling Visual C++ would likely give you the DLLs back.

You also have to check the local code requirement for windows being this low to the floor and might need to have tempered glass. R308.4.3 Glazing in windows. Glazing in an individual fixed or operable panel that meets all of the following conditions shall be considered to be a hazardous location: 1. The exposed area of an individual pane is larger than 9 square feet (0.836 m2), 2. The bottom edge of the glazing is less than 18 inches (457 mm) above the floor, 3. The top edge of the glazing is more than 36 inches (914 mm) above the floor; and 4. One or more walking surfaces are within 36 inches (914 mm), measured horizontally and in a straight line, of the glazing. That being said, you might not have room for a transom, depending on how much the soffit will drop on the outside and how much room you will have left. Good luck

@Brendol Scholz I get that it's actually what non grain matched was but the issue is their rep did NOT give us the right description. they told us the wrong info. over and over and over again. And actually when i asked her the difference between the two (this was after we signed) she confirmed that both used the 96" and she didn't know what the difference was and then pawned me off on the wood folks to find out. i guess i'm really upset because i signed a contract under false information because their designer didn't know what she was talking about. actually there were red flag after red flag now that i look back at it but they were all small things she was wrong on. i mean she told me certain configurations were what i'd get (she actually drew them on the plans) and then later found out she's wrong, she told me a drawer system wasn't an option and the wood rep then corrected her, she told me she ordered a door and it was already shipped and the wood guy then told me that wasn't actually the case, etc. oh and i ordered a horizontal grain and then over a week after she supposedly ordered it they emailed me they couldn't do a horizontal on one portion. i didn't even get a phone call. this was just one of the many screw ups she made and i guess now i'm paying the price for her lack of understanding (which ok was mine too but only because i trusted what the representative was telling me, which i should be able to do). i would have been better off w/o a designer in this scenario.

As usual, there is a lot of blaming the consumer on this forum by the pros who habitually post….Despite the pros’ superior knowledge vis-à-vis consumers and despite many consumers’ attempted diligence around being thoughtful and careful. What I especially dislike is the sense that you’re not entitled to the beautiful results you see on Houzz forums if you haven’t spent huge sums with architects, designers, colorists, and other high-end consultants. To be sure, these professionals can be worth their weight in gold, but the ‘let them eat cake’ attitude for the rest of the unwashed plebeians is cold and harsh. Where’s the empathy, folks? That being said, and despite Samtrz’s diligent efforts, I do think she made three unforced errors here. First, how many times does a fabricator have to warn that a job won’t be perfect before you internalize that you will not get what you ordered? He didn’t just say that all natural stone is imperfect; he told you that your specific design would not be perfect. Samtrz was on inquiry notice to unpack that statement. Second, the fabricator indicated he had no previous experience with the requested bookended installation (and by the way, its still not clear if the slabs actually were bookended; the parties made opposing statements on that score, though I take the point that had they followed the consumer’s instructions, Samtrz would have been happy). Third, Samtrz wasn’t at home for the install, which frankly I just can’t fathom for something so expensive and important to them. None of this is to say you don’t have any potential legal recourse, Samtrz, and surely the moral blame is on the countertop fabricator/installer. But surely there is some blame here to go all the way around. It ain’t one-sided, folks.

Okay Tiger. What I learned is to place the corners on the "border" page (rather than on the "complete" project page) and then click finished editing border. That held the corners in place. My program must "group" itself, because group was grayed out, and only ungroup was clickable.

I definitely think I just need some practice!!! LOL My hubby was real proud that I had accomplished any of it. He thinks I tend to expect perfection the first try (and I do!)Thanks again!
