What kind of paper do I need?

| I would like to print out & decoupage some clipart from the internet. I am afraid it will smear. Please tell me what to do. Thanks, T. |

Hi Taunia...I haven't done decoupage with anything from the printer yet...but I use Epson Glossy Photo paper that doesn't seem to smear at all...and I've heard others say, they spray a couple of coats of an acrylic sealer on things from the computer for decoupaging....
You may try asking at one of the Craft boards too!

Honestly, every paper I have tried has smeared or gotten blurry at least a little, even after spraying with a few light coats of Krylon. I used a decoupage medium on top. But I just worked with the look and added a crackle finish or antique glaze over top so it looked old & worn.
For best decoupage resultw use a thinner paper than photo paper. It makes a flatter surface & is easier to cut. Regular copy paper should work fine. |

| I have printed out pics from artwork on my color HP and then used Perfect Paper Adhesive to decoupage it on things. Just finished decoupaging Venus de Milo and Mona Lisa on puzzle pieces. What fun!! A bit time consuming to cut out but it worked. Plus I used a "kiddy" puzzle that had huge pieces so it wasn't too bad. |

| Keep in mind, when printing to "photo" type papers its a good idea to let it sit for a day. |
