Cleaning stained wine decanters

I have just discovered a brilliant way to clean a stained wine decanter.

Put a handfull of ceramic baking beans in the decanter (a funnel makes it easy) with a solution of vinegar and warm water, give it a jolly good shake and swirl, remove and rinse well with warm water. Job done!.
