Windex has a good product. It's called Windex Outdoor All-In-One and comes with an extendable wand and windex-soaked pads. I've used it very successfully on outside windows and since there is a sink there, it should be a good option for that window indoors as well. The pad will probably work better than a micro-fiber pad. If you still have trouble with the corners, use a squeegee on an extended arm. I've used paper towels soaked in cleaner around the end of a squeegee and then gone back with a dry squeegee to deep clean tight corners. Hope this helps :)

I use the Windex Outdoor and agree it's great. It just saved me $99 -- the estimate from a pro to clean my windows outside, so your recommendation of that for the outdoors is a great one.

I can't use a hose inside my kitchen, of course. The pad I have is a micro-fiber pad. It does a good job inside my car windshield, but won't reach all the areas inside my garden window. Perhaps I wasn't clear about that, sorry.

I've done as Graywings, although I admit there is going to be a time I probably should not be climbing up onto the counter to tackle some of these things, or won't want to. I've had to do the sit on the counter feet in the sink or kneel on the counter to change the halogen bulbs in my 5 over-sink lighting fixtures too....I had those changed last week and rewired to pretty LED. (electrician tells me they will be cooler and much more consumer friendly)

Thanks, Graywings and Morz8. Sitting on the counter with feet in the sink may be what I have to do to have a prayer of reaching it well. Wish I could think of a better way, but anything on a pole lacks the leverage that doing it by hand will do. Nevertheless, I think I'll try my mop first.

I use Scotch-Brite® Shower Scrubber it cost only about nine dollars at wal mart and it extends, has a flat bottom that swivels that is kind of like brillo and I put a micro fiber cloth on the base (it sticks to it because the ruffness of the brillo type base) and spray your cleaner on the cloth no need to stand on stool or climb on counter top any more and its great for the shower too (without the cloth)
