| I'm going to rent a carpet cleaning machine. I have kids and 4 animals, so I need a carpet cleaning solution that can clean seriously dirty carpet. Suggestions?

| Deanna, I've had really good results with Zep Premium Carpet and Upholstery shampoo. I believe I got it at Lowe's. When we moved to this house the carpets were quite dirty. I steam cleaned them twice--once to get clean and once to make me feel better about walking on them with bare feet! The cleaner works very well, and smells good, too! |

| Buy the gallon size at the hardware store. I use Folex too and then keep it in a spray bottle to use on spots and to spot my laundry too. |
