This is going to sound strange, but my grandkids were skidding across the hardwood floor with socks on, and the socks left skid marks on the floor. Sounds funny, but I cannot get rid of the skid marks. I have used 2 different hardwood floor cleaners with no luck. Any suggestions?

Use a dry paper towel to rub over the skid marks. This works for black shoe marks, surely it would work for sock skid marks. If this does not work, maybe a floor polisher would polish out the skid marks.

Maybe a natural rubber or art-gum eraser? I'd also try Mr. Clean Eraser on such marks.
