Don't think I would like plastic bags in my fridge. I think they would look rumpled and messy and they may have bacteria on them. I don't even use them in my bathroom trash containers because they look messy and hide my pretty trash containers. The fridge is one of the easy things to wipe down.

Whatever works..... :-) I would be concerned the ink from the bags would stick to the shelf surface. FYI: the ink is NOT food safe, so you don't want it in contact directly with food.

I have small plastic baskets and small plastic crates in colorful colors (from the Dollar Store) to contain things into different categories on each shelf. For instance, one basket contains almond flour, coconut flour, homemade gluten-free baking mix and other baking items which tend dribble a little of the flour out of the bags no matter how careful I am, so now it's caught in the container. I also tend to need all these food items when baking, so it makes it easy to remove one container with all of them in it.

It's a lot easier to clean one plastic container, AND it makes Q&E work to remove the baskets when I clean the whole refrigerator. The old - ounce of prevention = a pound of cure - thing.

I started this method after a jar of pickled beets got tipped over and I had beet juice leak out of the lid all over the refrigerator. What a mess to clean that was...... Now I have my pickles, beets, jar of homemade sauerkraut or other homemade ferments, and other like-items in a solid container where any drips or a tipped-over jar would not escape the one container.
