I just used my steamer yesterday to clean a bathroom. I've had it less than a year, but it does clean things well.

I have a Wagner 915 as it cost a little less than the McCulloch (and I wasn't sure I would like it), and I had an Amazon gift certificate so it cost me nothing.

I would never use it to clean wood cabinets or my own wood floors, but I'm cautious with wood. I did use it on very old wood floors in my son's college house at move out time. Didn't seem to harm them.

In the college house, I used it to clean the baths, floors, walls, etc. The landlord remarked that the place was spotless. Son and roommates received their deposit back which is a rarity in a college town. That alone was worth the price.

My only complaint about the Wagner is that I wish it had a smaller "mop" type of attachment. It's hard to get into tight spaces like behind the toilet.

Thanks for the reply, rrah! I'm checking out the Wagner 915 now -- they say NOT to use it on painted walls because you don't want the drywall getting wet, which makes sense. However, it looks very useful for other tasks and I always like hearing positive results... I may have to get myself one of these. :)
