Cleaning Grease from Nickel?

Posted by jenva2010 (My Page) on

My stove has nickel trim and it's very greasy (DH is no longer allowed to cook bacon!). I believe the manual suggests using polish on the nickel trim, but I assume it's just like polishing silver flatware -- first you wash it, then you polish the clean metal. What can I use to clean the grease from the trim that won't harm the nickel or make it tarnish (or harm the cooktop or the enamel sides of the stove)? It's all permanently attached, nothing that can be removed and washed in the sink. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi jenva,
The page below could help you remove that oil.

Here is a link that might be useful: remove oil from metal
