Cleaning basement floor : Hoover Floor Mate?

Posted by gardenfanatic (My Page) on

Would a Hoover Floor Mate work on a concrete basement floor? My daughter is having a baby, and is moving her bedroom to the basement for more space, and I need a way to get those basement floors REALLY clean. I have fibromyalgia, so I need a way that cleans extremely well without putting me in traction. Thanks,

If it's a smooth floor, it should work.

I have a Hoover Floor Mate, and am quite seriously disabled. It doesn't clean nearly as well as getting down on your hands and knees and scrubbing, but it's better than nothing. Out of 10 stars I say I'd give it 5 stars for cleaning, and I'm sure it would work fine on concrete. The machine is especially hard on your hands as you have to pull a "trigger" for long periods of time to release the cleaning solution. For those of us who are disabled, I say just clean the best you can and call it a day...anyone who gripes that the floors aren't clean enough can feel free to get down there and scrub them themselves! Good luck...
