| I've been looking for a good cleaner for my coffeemaker. It is a dispenser type, dispensing coffee into the cup. The metal plate inside is always nasty looking, even after cleaning. So, one day I decided to try dishwasher soap. It's not really a soap, but works wonders. I've even used it on smelly dishrags. I soak them in a small container with a good squirt of dishwasher fluid, and they come out so clean, but are very slick feeling, so take a good rinsing. I use the dishwasher soap full strength in the coffee maker and rinse well. I have not run the coffeemaker thru it's cycle with this soap, just to clean the reservoir, by hand. Give it a try, let me know what you think. I'm always trying to downsize my cleaning products, they take up so much space, so dual use is important to me. |

| It makes sense. If it works in the dishwasher, it should work outside the dishwasher. |
