another steam mop question...carpets??

does anyone have the one that you can also use on carpets, and does it work well for spot cleaning? I have one for my vinyl kitchen floor and love it for that, but would be interested to know how the ones work that say you can also use them on carpets. any comments or suggestions? thanks!

The shark has a carpet attachment for their steam mop, but I have never tried it..I am sure some on here has, hopefully they will see this post and chime in.
