So I've successfully INJURED myself TWICE since Memorial Day weekend. First a REALLY banged up foot that put me on a cane for the better part of a MONTH. THEN, totally STOOPID move (lifting something I should know better than try), blew out my back a little over a month ago... STILL healing. Both injuries are things that just take time to get better.

House is a split level, and lugging vac up/down stairs is NOT an easy task. Knew I could find someplace to hide a vac on all THREE levels of my house. Bought a Dirt Devil Deluxe at a thrift store. It was clean, had manual and spare bags/belts taped to unit, ran fine. I didn't try to open at thrift store cuz kinda taped up with extras. Can't get piece open to check/change bag?? Has arrow on front that just says "pull here" to open. Well, it won't... not even close to even budging??

If you have this vac, is there a TRICK to getting it open??
