Cleaning vintage runner

I have a vintage runner that has developed a yellow spot on it. I believe the fabric is cotton. Anyone have any ideas on how to remove this spot?

I found a Martha Stewart video (linked below) that may help you out. Sorry about the 30-second commercial before the video starts..... BTW, the dog in the commercial is NOT Martha Stewart, but the resemblance is striking (snork - not a Martha fan!).

I would have tried a dab of white vinegar. Depending on it's condition and whether there is a crocheted edging or embroidery, etc., it may benefit from soaking in Oxy-clean, rinsing by hand, and air-dry. Avoid using the washing machine and dryer. Back-in-the-day, these items were regularly laundered, starched and ironed.

I didnt watch the entire video, I've had great luck with Borax, again like they did in the video with Oxyclean I soak overnight

My cousin collects antique linens. She swears by Oxyclean.
