I've noticed lately with a few pairs of dress pants I've purchased, that the tag says dry clean only when I wonder if that's really true. These pants are NOT lined, and the typical fabric combination is 58% cotton, 35% polyester, and the remaining is elastine, or maybe mostly polyester with some elastine. Do you think they'd do OK in the washer on the delicate cycle?

I think they would be fine on cold water wash, and then hang to dry. Sue

Pants made of 58% cotton may shrink enough to make them too short for you. You could wash in cold water, toss in dryer for 3-5 minutes (still damp), remove and stretch leg length by standing on both hems at same time and pulling upward. The dryer will help reduce wrinkles and dampness allows for stretching.
