I have a Ladybug steamer that works really well and hasn't caused any problem. But it's a big production to bring it out, use it, and put it away, so a simpler system for regular cleaning is also good. I have one of those wet/dry mops used commercially and it works really well. The pads attach with velcro to the base. It has a microfiber dust mop for dusting and 4 microfiber pads for the wet cleaning. After dust mopping, all you have to do is lightly spray an area with water or cleaner from a spray bottle, and go over it with the other pad. I am not an electrical expert, but it seems that if an appliance is throwing a breaker, the problem is with the wattage of the outlet, not the cord of the appliance. I hope someone with some electrical expertise will weigh in on this.

I have had certain appliances throw breakers from time to time. It would be a certain machine plugged into a certain socket. It didn't happen in other sockets and I used those.

If your steam mop is throwing a breaker, it indicates that your circuit is being overloaded. This has nothing to do with the wire size in the steam mop, but the capacity of your circuit. What else are you operating on the circuit at the time?

The other possibility is that there is a short in your steam mop. However, where that the case, it should trip the breaker immediately and always, not just sometimes. This also has nothing to do with wire size in the unit, rather with quality control during manufacturing.

According to my knowledge these mops requires only water to clean and disinfect floors and easy to use and requires little assembly and maintenance.
