Soot, Grill Grime on Pavers

I had a bit of a fire in my grill that I had to hose down, which left a mess on my pavers. I tried scrubbing with hot water and Dawn, but there's still quite a mess. Any suggestions as to how to remove?
TIA,
Betsy

Well, I have read good things about power washers, but I'm low on funds and don't really want to buy one right now. Altho, after all I've read, I will be getting one in the future.
Greased lightening gets great reviews on Amazon. I'm all over that. Thx Maid.
