Cleaning Tar Off Of Plastic Skylight

Hello Everyone!

I tarred around our old plastic skylights today and accidentally got some on the top of the skylight. I tried using a glue remover to get it off but it left a white residue and spread the tar all around the skylight. Any suggestions for cleaning this?

Is there a company name or number on the side of the can? You could call them. You'll have to be careful that whatever you use doesn't damage the plastic.

If you can't find any specific suggestions for the specific ''tar'' you are using I would suggest testing a spot with WD-40.

I would try mineral spirits or lighter fluid.
