What kind of flooring do you have? We applied something that made the deck tacky, soap and water with a broom took care of the problem. Try that with a brush.

I applied it to a terra cotta tile floor. Do you think I put it on too thick?

The directions say that second coat will take off excess, so I tried it and the second coat took off the excess. The shine is gone, which should have been a clue that it was on too thick, but it looks very nice.

lodalady, I always recommend soap and water for everything except "real" wood floors. I would only use a damp mop on wood. I always ask the clerks and was told no chemicals on any flooring or counter tops, like granite, marble, etc..
