I want to spruce up my tub surround and kitchen counter-top (laminate) - they look dull and are hard to clean.

Looking for recommendation on sealant/wax type product.

Tried SC Johnson Future Acrylic Floor Finish earlier (it's now marketed as Pledge Floor Finish) - it worked great on my vinyl floor and made it looks clean, shiny, glossy and very easy to maintain. But Future Floor Finish did now work as well on the countertop and tub surround - some areas did not take application well, and had problems with run-off and uneven coverage.

Recommendations?
