How to test fabric swatches for cleanability

Hi, I am choosing fabric for my kitchen chair cushions. I prefer to either zip them off and throw in the washer, or for a quick spot clean to pull out my Bissell and do a quick clean that way.

I have several nice fabric swatches, but I'm not sure how to test them. They're so small, Should I try to Bissell them? Put them all in the washer at once? Seperately hand wash and throw in dryer?

The fabric stores I went to did not know or wouldn't tell me the washing code such as W or WS. Both those would be washable, but I don't have that informaiton.

I've found that with care, about any fabric can be washed. If you are unsure, I'd hand wash them, or else wash in cool water on Delicate. Then toss them a bit in the dryer on Delicate, and put them back on the cushions while still a bit slightly damp. Then just prop them on their edges until dry enough to put back on the chairs.

I wash my sofa cushion covers this way and they are fine.
