Got a difficult stain out of my old formica counters

I've lived here for 4 months and there was some sort of stain on my formica countertop. It looked like a coffee ring or rust stain. I tried Fantastick, windex, scrubbing, etc. Today I took a little bit of liquid dishwashing Cascade on a sponge and it worked! It wiped right away. I should have thought of that in the first place. Hope this helps someone.

I used to use bleach and pour it on the stain, wait a few minutes, then carefully wipe up, being sure not to get it on uopur clothes.
