I do not know how to prevent scuff marks but a "dry paper towel" will easily remove the marks.

Unfortunately, wearing different shoes is the only answer I've found. Certain heels scuff no matter what one does.

I tried Skuff and it is fantastic! I had an old pair of black shoes that I was going to throw out. I put shiny Skuff on them and now I wear them to church.

Don't know how to prevent them, but our janitor easily cleans them off with a tennis ball impaled on the end of a broom handle.
