| Does anyone know how to clean the outside heating unit of a crockpot. These are burned on stains and make it look awful.

| My favorite stain removers are baking soda and vinegar. If the actual plastic is stained you may not be able to remove it. Try spraying with vinegar and then sprinkle on some baking soda. Let it sit a while and scrub off. |

| Thanks. I do like to clean with those, too. The outside of the pot is metal, not plastic. Of course, it can't be submerged, either. |

| I would try Barkeeper's Friend. I have both the original powder and also the liquid version. Both work worders. |
