How do I clean Grass Cloth Wallpaper? We are redoing an old house. There are some stains/spots on the grass cloth. I have no idea what they are. Any suggestions on what to do?

RE: Grass Cloth Wallpaper ?

I have never had his type of wall covering, but perhaps an artist's eraser
would do the trick.
It is kind of mushy (I don't know how else to describe it) . It can be bought at an artist's supply store.
Another thing to try is a piece of very soft white bread. Take off the crust , just ball it up, and use it like a blotter.
It would also depend on what the spots are to know what to use.
Oh, what very bad grammer, but I think you get the point.

I'd vacuum it real good first with a soft brush attachment and then just use a damp miracle cloth on it and see how that goes.(blotting, not so much rubbing)

Back in 1979, I had grass cloth paper put on my walls in our old house. I loved it at the time!
