Cleaning Head Lamps on Dodge Van

I know this sounds silly, but road scum and yuck has dried on my Head Lamps on my van and I have tried everything except sanding and they are at the point where I can hardly see to drive at night. Does any one have a solution to this, I would really appreciate it. Carolyn

Spray hot soapy water on them and let them soak, the wipe away with a Magic Eraser.
