Post-renovation cleaning tips

We're getting to the point where our renovation project is nearly done. We've been doing our best to keep up with the dust in the unrenovated spaces but we know we're fighting a losting battle until it's done.

I'm wondering if people have tips to doing a thorough house cleaning after the contractors move out. They're responsible for a cleaning of the renovated space, but I want to make sure we're doing it well, and doing the rest of the house.

I got a HEPA filter for our shop vac, and I figure we'll vacuum every nook and cranny, especially all the structural work in the basement, and behind, under, and around everything we can reach. After that, wiping everything down with at least water and perhaps a cleaner--walls, floor, furniture. We slipcovered all the sofas in the house and those will get a thorough cleaning, as well as all the bed linens and window coverings. And then, we'll probably do it all again.

So, any other specific tips?
