Rub it with a soft brush and corn meal....then shake it out and repeat.
Vecuum to get the last of the cornmeal out of the suede.
I have done it with butter and chicken fat on suede....perhaps it'll work on newsprint.
At any rate it won't do any harm....and hair spray will mat down the nap on the suede.

I'd definitely bring it to a dry cleaner. They are my last resort, and often get stuff out I never could. Try to find one who does suede and leather cleaning.
