How to clean grease off masonite board?

Posted by krissie (My Page) on

I have masonite boards covering half the floor in my sewing/computer room so chairs will roll easier than on carpet.

The other day I enjoyed a bowl of popcorn at the computer and did not realize I was so messy. After walking on the small pieces of popcorn on the masonite unknowingly, it is now covered with grease spots and looks yucky.

Does anyone have an idea how to remove the grease spots?

My guess is that the grease has absorbed into the masonite and is there permanently.
