Tile Floor Sweeper

I think crumbs are like dust bunnies - they multiply when we step out of the room. I'm forever futzing with a broom and dustpan in my kitchen and wondering if a floor sweeper wouldn't be easier and more efficient. I find the Swiffer dry cloths great for picking up hair and dust but not so good with crumbs and other hard particles. I'm always worried that whatever foreign object it's picked up (plastic jewelry beads, little pebbles...) is scratching the floor.

Any recommendations for an easy to use tile floor sweeper that doesn't require batteries and is easy to store? TIA!

Suz, I know exactly what you mean. My husband loves french & italian bread and is constantly cutting it up and getting crumbs all over the floor and counter tops. I use the Bissell Feather Weight electric broom. You can usually get it on sale at Kohl's for around $20.00. It has a dust cup and also a crevice tool and can convert to a hand held vac. Also, you won't have to buy any swifter pads.

Thanks for the rec, Kath. Love the idea of no swifter pads (so regret falling for that whole "cleaning system"!). We don't have Kohl's in Canada but Wal-Mart probably carries it. Read the reviews on Amazon - the negative ones lead me to believe it's not the perfect choice for my current needs. Still, it's not a huge investment so I'm not dismissing it. Thanks again!
