Oh no!! That sounds awful. That is exactly why I will not use that stuff - it so super dangerous!! You see what it did to your finger, imagine what just inhaling the fumes is doing to you??

I am pretty big on using non-toxic as much as possible.

However, I have a stainless steel top gas stove and it had some brown stains that had been there for a few years. I had a repair man here as I tripped a safety feature that didn't allow the oven to be turned on and needed to be reset. He noticed the marks and told me Easy Off would take them right off.

Seriously?? I have never touched the stuff. Well, I bought a trigger spray version and it worked miracles. I only use it once or twice a year on it and I seriously "suit up" - gloves, mask and I run the overhead exhaust fan.

I just hate using it but it does keep my stove looking so much better. I just try and limit my exposure while using it and never when my kids are here.

Think of the chemical power it must take to liquefy all that cooking gunk - please be careful when using it :)

I'll be careful in the future. I was very careful not to breathe in the fumes. Years ago I got very sick (had an asthma attack) while using Tilex in the bathroom, even tho I also had the window open. And I haven't had asthma since I was about 10!
