Hi --- I watched the clay pens today. Very cute. But I like my pens a bit more refined -- those shown on CD would be exellent for kids though!! they were adorable. -- Michele

Didn't get to see the show, but thanks for the links. I looked up the beading project. I had been wondering about the stretchy cord --how to knot it. I saw where they said to use a surgeon's knot and looked up how this is done. It was something used in flyfishing. I hope it's the same thing! I'm going to have to try it.

For covering pens, I'd like to try a different kind of Mokume` Gane` than what I tried before. Then, I used different colors of clay. But I like the method Sue Heaser describes in her book (The Polymer Clay Techniques Book) She uses translucent clay and gold (or other) leaf which is sliced and applied to a background of colored clay. She says this is very versatile because it can be used with different background colors. Sounds good to me!!
