Toning down glazed border

| I would really appreciate help with this problem. I had a tile scene installed as a backsplash in my newly remodeled kitchen and love it but....I ordered a rope like trim in a forest green with a "wiped down" or muted look but I got a highly glazed finish which is not what I wanted. This was the 2nd order (sent the first one back - wayyy to dark) So now the color is right but it is too bright and shiny and just not what I wanted. I went ahead and had it installed but would love to do something. Can I tone it down somehow? I wanted a sort of washed out, I guess dull finish. Thanks so much. |

| It is too bad that you installed it. If you just had the tile, you could have gotten someone with a kiln to refire it for you. As a craft person, I would take a couple of extra pieces of the tile and experiment with some matte paint on finishes from Michaels. Good luck. |
