I am so new that i haven't even got started yet. I am planning on harvesting some natural red clay from my area. Is it posssible to fire this type of clay in a conventional oven? What is the best method of removing impurities? What is slip? How do I store the clay when not using it? If it dries out can it be brought back to life with just water? What are some homemade glazes i could use? My girls are very excited about starting to work with clay. They are 2 and 4. Any fun projects for kids? Thank you to anyone who might shed some light on my mound of questions.
