 o
slipcasting choices

hello, this is my first post on the ceramics forum. let me get this out of the way, i am a furniture maker and not a ceramicist so my knowledge on the subject is narrow. i am in the process of designing a light fixture that will be slip cast in some sort of ceramic. a few years ago i made a similar lamp in slipcast porcelain but deformation became an issue and only half the lamps were usable. i am looking to see what my options are for a white-ish (porcelain-esque) slip that will be more stable. the lamp will be raw ceramic (no glaze) and the wall thickness will be somewhere around 3/16" any suggestions would be extremely helpful.
thanks. jonah.
