Glazing storebought canisters?

Posted by mi_hawkeye (My Page) on

I found some ceramic canisters on clearance today that I really love. The color isn't quite right however so I was thinking about adding a glaze to kind of make the color blend a little better in my kitchen. Is this possible? How would I do it? Thanks!

Your problem is firing something made in another country (probably). It could or could not explode in a kiln. I would not offer to fire it for a friend -- too much risk.

Why don't you go to Michaels and try some of those glass paints that you just heat in the oven for a few minutes to cure? Good luck.
