Can I paint over glazed ceramic?

I have some nice architectural pieces made of ceramic but they have a very shiny look from the glaze and I was hoping I could take away the shine and give them a flat old look?

Spray them with a clear matte finish (like Krylon). Try just one piece first, but I think you'll like it.

Another choice might be Mod-Podge Matte finish...try it in a small section first. Good luck and have fun! Joyce
